On being a newbie…

In the past couple of months, two people I know very well have become parent governors. Yes, despite my protestations NOT to do it (ahem - may be untrue) a work colleague of mine and one of my dearest online acquaintances have chucked their hats into the ring. My work colleague (call him Dave) got straight in at first go. The National Curriculum review– a new standard?

The National Curriculum came into existence as part of the Education Reform Act of 1988 and seems to have been amended, revised and tweaked in almost every year since.
